Five on Friday: Thankful Edition

Happy Friday! I’m so excited the weekend is finally here!

I’m linking up with The Good Life Blog for another Five on Friday. Since November is the month of giving thanks, I’m making today’s post all about the things I’m most thankful for in life.  Here goes!

five on friday

ONE. My husband. Despite a crazy teaching and coaching schedule, he still finds time for the little stuff. Just this week, he sent me a beautiful fall boutquet of flowers with a note that read “Just Because. I Love You.” I am so thankful to have him by my side, and to have found “my person” after waiting what felt like forever! He inspires me to be a better person, and I love him more and more each day.

Just Because

TWO. The other {quadraped} guy in my life. I work from home regularly, and Cooper does his best to intice me away from the computer all day. He brings me toys, he rolls around on the carpet and lies upside down, and casually paws at my leg for attention. When I’ve been gone for even a few hours, he totally spazzes out when I get home and jumps all over the place. Best.feeling.ever. He is a total goofball, and his big personality puts me in a good mood no matter what!

French Bulldog Cooper

THREE. My health. I’m incredibly thankful to be in good health. I see so many people struggling with awful circumstances, and know health is a delicate thing that shouldn’t be taken for granted. I’ve been much better about working out regularly, and am starting to enjoy it again, which is a huge feat. But I’m still kind of all over the place with what I eat. Next week I’m going to start going back to Weight Watchers, and have considered trying to cut out gluten too. I’m particularly inspired by Katie from Loves of Life. She is on fit mama! I’m going to try to post once a week for accountability purposes, so please stop by for updates. I’ll need as much support and encouragement as I can get!

FOUR. Turning 30. I never thought I’d say this, but I’m looking forward to turning big 3-0 in December! My twenties were incredible and such a blast, but now that I’m married and settling down, I’m excited for what the next few years hold for us. We hope to buy a house and start a family, and really start putting roots down for the future.

FIVE. Friendship. I’ve always had an amazing group of friends, but I’ve really started to appreciate them even more recently. I’ve made a bigger effort to put my friends as a higher priority over the past few months {it is so easy to just say “things are so busy” and just stop being there for people} and I love that I’m in regular contact with my friends and we know what’s going on each other lives. I’ve also met {virtually, at least} some amazing people through social media and blogging. I love having a peak into other people’s lifes, and connecting through commonalities. So thank you to all of my wonderful friends, regardeless of how we know each other!

Bachelorette Party

I hope everyone has a fun weekend! Shaun’s team is now 8-0, so we’re down to the last couple of weeks of the regular season.  Playoffs start in mid-November, and I just know we’ll be practicing on Thanksgiving this year {kind of awful and exciting at the same time}!

P.S. – I’m excited to be a November sponsor over at JustJacq!  Check out her blog for everything from fashion to fitness.
